Salzburg guys going to NASCAR Southern 500 at Forstern

Hello all,

This coming weekend (October 18th) few guys from Salzburg are going to Forstern to race at the NASCAR Southern 500. It has been a hard work to prepare all cars and get ready for this great event that our guys from Forstern are always preparing very well and very professional. It is expected a great audience, with drivers from different parts of Germany and of course our little representation from Salzburg. We will also have during the race different nationalities (Austrian, Spanish, American... and of course German) and languages (German, English, Spanish... and Austrian?), so very international and a lot of fun!!!

Here are the guys who are joining from Salzburg:
- Stefan Pischon... our artist from Grenzland who is aiming for the Best of Show... like always
- Martin Frei... our fast guy from SCFS who is always finishing in a good position... maybe 2014 is your year?
- Alfredo Navarro... our crazy guy from Grenzland who can never prepare just one single car... and he is doing always the same at the race... middle field

Pictures of the cars will be uploaded until Friday... of course if we get the time to do it . Be ready to see great designs over a big variety of cars: Dodge, Toyota, Chevrolet and more!

We keep you updated and we look forward for this great event and we hope that more drivers from Salzburg are joining next time. Remember, as soon as we will finish this year's race... we are already thinking in 2015, this is our craziness and our passion!

I hope all goes well and for sure we will have a lot of fun, but of course we will be racing and pushing the pedal to the metal to achieve a good result .

Thanks Hans, about the race on Thursday.... I am not sure about the rest of the world, but I will be there for sure, probably around 18:00 right after work, I race everything my friend! See you tomorrow!

Hello!

The Nascar Southern 500 at Forstern was a great race as expected. A lot of training on Friday and with issues like always... chassis setup, tires, grip, etc etc... so business as usual.
The Saturday started quite good with the last adjustments and ready for the technical check. The Best of Show went this time to Berlin (sorry Uwe), and the Qualifying started on time. After the first round, there was a common comment... the grip is quite tricky in the track and almost everybody was struggling with the driving.. basically you had to adjust yourself to the condition of the track and how the car was working. Some did this better than others and then on the second round, somehow everybody was much faster and pushing really hard. At the end, we had a lot of fun and pure racing at Forstern with 23 drivers.

Final results of the 3 guys from Salzburg:
- Martin... well, not much luck unfortunately, the track was quite tricky... but he managed a 13 place.
- Alfredo... business as usual, 11 place although he was very satisfied with the result and all learning acquired during the race
- Stefan... our star of the day, 8 place at the end but he could even have managed 5. Unfortunately he had small technical issues at the first round that did cost some laps. He was very very fast and he was full focus.

Well... that's pretty much out of the race; full report and pictures will appear in Forstern's web page. As mentioned before, it was a great event, great people and perfect organization by the Forstern guys. Thank you very much for such a great event and the friendly, familiar and relax atmosphere that you put during the race, even we were racing hard and competing each other.

Sorry I forgot... the winner... Uwe, congratulations my friend, you did it! and you did a perfect race.

I am already looking forward for the 2015 edition, but in the meanwhile... there are a lot of more races and series to take part... because racing is fun and without that fun you will never win.
